Child Abuse
Add To My Artists

There are three bands named Child Abuse.

1) 1977 LA punk band that later mutated into The Simpletons( posh boy).

2) Hardcore band from New Jersey that released the single '...Bring It,' on Mutha Records in 1983.

3) CHILD ABUSE bring together playfully wild keyboards, throbbed bass stabs, stuttering piledriver percussion and demonic vocal fits. To make matters more terrifying, CHILD ABUSE embody the musical spirit of a drunken Thelonious Monk in a head-on car wreck with Gorguts. Brutal, catchy, complex dissonance bent grind. The band released the acclaimed Miracle of Birth/Child Abuse split cd with Lovepump United, a full length cd released by Lovepump United with art by Albert Oehlen. CHILD ABUSE also has releases on Folding Cassettes, Rock is Hell, Forge Records, and Zum Media.

In early 2011, singer/keyboardist and founding member, Luke Calzonetti left the band to concentrate on other pursuits. He has since been replaced by Eric Lau.

Behold... The Arctopus
Add To My Artists

Hailing from New York City, Behold... The Arctopus are a 3-piece band that pushes the absolute extremes of technical and rhythmic complexity. The band currently consists of Mike Lerner and Colin Marston, after the recent departure of the band's original drummer Charlie Zeleny. On November 25, 2009, Weasel Walter announced that he was moving to New York City to join the band on drums and will be writing "new, more extreme material from scratch."

Fusing free-jazz, ambient soundscapes, and experimental math metal, Behold... The Arctopus swerve from the logical to illogical with ease. The Warr Guitar, a 12-string instrument that is primarily played by tapping and covers the range of guitar and bass, is the predominant instrument. That in itself is a tremendous oddity, as you rarely ever see such an instrument used in extreme metal, much less in the leading role. There are no vocals, but the density and texturing of their material eliminates any need for words.

Behold... The Arctopus are currently signed to Metal Blade Records via Black Market Activities for their first album, entitled Skullgrid that was released on October 16th, 2007.

PAK will start recording the new a CD in late August................................................................................................................................ Like Anderson's past work with the Molecules back in the late 80's/early 90's, PAK explores equally manic sonic terrain, built on fractured, lightning fast time changes, Anderson's wild, twisted yet melodic soloing and chaotic vocal accents. Although Anderson's past releases have always exploded with energy and ideas, PAK is the first to fully actualize his musical vision with its pristine production values and compositional embellishments.

PAK has two CDs 100% Human Hair and Motel is working now on the third. PAK tour Europe in October and November of 2008.
