Kodacrome
Kodacrome is Elissa Pociask (vocals, keys) and Ryan Casey (drums, electronics). Elissa designs energetic, interwoven pop melodies with haphazard structures, layered vocals, and mean lyrics. Ryan builds rich, textured soundscapes which can fall anywhere in between delicate and grimy. By means of a very natural spirit of teamwork, the two form thoughtfully crafted pieces, easy on the head and heavy on the pretty.

Mieka Pauley
Mieka Pauley began as a solo artist in Boston. Her haunting voice and heartbreaking lyrics gained her more than a few fans, securing her bills with Citizen Cope, KT Tunstall, Natasha Bedingfield, Ben Kweller, Mason Jennings, John Legend, the Avett Brothers and many others. She won the first ever Starbucks Emerging Artist Award and the New York Songwriters Circle Songwriting Contest, and she was named Cosmopolitan Magazine's Fun Fearless Female Rockstar of the Year.
So, the music: Imagine Radiohead tiptoeing silently behind Patty Griffin as she makes her way backstage. Imagine Jeff Buckley in drag, singing along loudly at a Nirvana concert. Imagine Death Cab hiding in the back of an Emily Dickinson reading. She describes their music as "mainstream indie rock" and feels the contradiction perfectly describes her obsessions.

sami.the.great
Sami Akbari, known musically as sami.the.great. is driven by her overwhelming desire to write and play music. She frequented open mic nights in college, often taking home cash prizes for her highly anticipated performances. She moved to New York City two weeks after receiving her degree in 2005, and quickly began landing gigs at local venues.
Her new EP, Nothing Left to See, features five original songs written by Sami and a cover of Sting's "Roxanne." The disc not only reveals the trajectory of Sami's songwriting career, but also her deft combination of emotion and wit, of melancholy and humor. Like her live show, the album reflects the notion that great things come in small packages and showcases a small-framed singer whose impassioned voice fills the spaces and lives around her.
Now Sami, who performs both on piano and guitar, hopes to expand her sphere of influence beyond New York City, where she has become a formidable force in the music scene. Her songs generate a kinship with their listener, building a connection between the themes of her songs and the lives of her audience.
