Here's what people say:

"Chris Brunelle is another excellent songwriter who knows his way around a well-crafted pop song. With The Whisperians, he continues to build an oeuvre of 2-3 minute pearls of prowess that will surely stick in your head for days after hearing" -MOG.COM
........

"First up for the upstairs crowd was hometown crew The Whisperians who played a thick-necked, punk-poppy set of working class bar jams reminiscent of The Hold Steady and a jugular shot of testosterone. Lead singer Chris Brunelle joked at the beginning of the set that the trio was "not from Brooklyn, New York," as a nod to the city's current indie music mecca. Brunelle also took the same tongue-in-cheek humor to the group's merch saying, 'Nothing says you're cool like wearing [that] shit because no one knows it.' Take that, absentee hipsters!" - http://www.sentimentalistmag.com -Carrie Alison

"Frontman Chris Brunelle gets top marks for some excellent and very comfortable stage banter (which seems to be a tripping point for almost all indie bands)." http://www.chartattack.com - Caitlin Hotchkiss
........

"We first got to know Chris Brunelle as a member of Mo Matching Drapes, then as a member of Aldenbarton. He's now started a new band called The Whisperians that we caught recently at Pianos. The band is a tight power trio that plays what may best be described as punk-pop as opposed to pop-punk. Somewhat reminiscent of Ted Leo or Elvis Costello as opposed to Blink 182 (thank God). They're energetic where they need to be and laid back when that's the way to go. And Chris is clearly a guy who likes to play songs with other people who like to play songs for people who like to listen to songs. As simple a concept as this may be, it's something not always as evident as it should be, so it's good to see it in the Whisperians." -StereoActiveNYC.com
