Erin Barra
Erin Barra's sound draws from a diverse range of musical influences that creates a distinctive mix of Pop, Rock and Soul with splashes of Reggae. Heavy on the lyrical content she infuses both substance and consciousness into her songwriting with penetrating skill and a unique instrumental perspective.
Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Erin began her musical training on the piano bench at the tender age of 4. She has composed and performed her own music throughout her adolescence beginning with string quartets and even a fully produced Opera titled 'Illusions' that toured high schools on the West Coast through Utah Opera's education program. She solidified her training and craft with a degree in songwriting from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. While at Berklee she was discovered by legendary songwriter John Oates, of Hall and Oates and together the two penned the song 'Waiting' for Barra's first release in 2007. Over the years, Erin has had the opportunity to write and work with industry notables and Grammy award winning artists, engineers and producers.

"When I first met Erin Barra at Berklee... I sensed she had something special. After our first writing session together, my instincts were confirmed. She is an "old soul" musician with a very modern songwriting sensibility. She is the type of artist who can have a long career in the music business." - John Oates of Hall and Oates
After making the move to New York in 2007 Erin recorded her first album, Soul Revolutions and immediately dove into the performance circuit; having appeared on New York stages of SOB's, Solomon's Porch, The Bitter End, The Bowery Poetry Club, Rockwood Music Hall, The Canal Room and The Cutting Room. Her presence is also felt on stages throughout the North-East and Rocky Mountain Regions. Whether she is performing with her band, in trio form, or solo, her performances are simultaneously intimate and electric. Playing a Hohner Melodica as one of the cornerstones of her live set along with an infectious energy, she creates something between a rock show and a storytelling.
Erin channels the modern day wattage of Alicia Keys with the substance of Roberta Flack, inspired largely from a classic range of legendary performers such as Stevie Wonder, Bonnie Raiit, Bob Marley, Jill Scott, Michael Jackson and Hall and Oates.

The Upperclass Men
THE UPPERCLASS MEN? are a Brooklyn based Hip- Hop group that was founded in 2001 by Hollis "HD" Stephenson and Coy "Mr. Harris" Harris. As school mates who attended South Shore High School, they quickly formed a bond in Spanish Class that would go far beyond anything a text book could document.
After Hollis discovered that Coy could rap, he encouraged his ability to create as his own budding production skills grew. Time progressed and the two worked tirelessly on creating a sound that stood apart from anything that the Hip- Hop world had heard before. Through much trial and error, the final product became known as THE UPPERCLASS MEN?, a Hip- Hop collective that is noted for their in-the-pocket then loose flow, undeniable wit & attractive lyrics that spark their high performance energy.
THE UPPERCLASS MEN? found their third member, Shareef "RS" Swindell, while free styling after a party with some of the partygoers. After added, the group was complete. Hollis's everyman flow, along with Harris's left field attitude and Shareef's bursting method of rhyming evoke a sound reminiscent of the best lyricists Hip-Hop has seen, while staying true to the feel of the group's identity and themselves.
THE UPPERCLASS MEN? believe that a great deal of their friends, associates, and colleagues that they attended school with and people they are in the company of don't understand who THE UPPERCLASS MEN? are as people. THE UPPERCLASS MEN? act, conduct, and think differently from most of them. The three animated images serve as the logo for THE UPPERCLASS MEN? embodying the personalities of all three members. The ethos that THE UPPERCLASS MEN? abide by is very unique and contrast most model hip-hop personas due to their extensive level of creativity, entrepreneurship, & diligence towards their vessel.
The collective also runs a website, known as THE LUNCH ROOM TABLE® (http://www.thelunchroomtable.com), which is an online blog that serves as a lifestyle magazine that brings forth the latest happenings in Popular Music, Urban Fashion, and Technology. THE UPPERCLASS MEN? work hard to serve their fans the best music that satisfies their audio appetite. Are you ready to take your spot on the lunch line?

The Assembly Line
The Assembly Line is the solo work of Thornfin Nguyen. After his previous band ended their run in the summer of '04, Thor continued on his own musical journey. Writing now for himself, penned vivid innermost thoughts and feelings he experienced. Inspired by some of Thor's favorite bands - Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab for Cutie - The Assembly Line found its breath in dozens of open-mic performances and acoustic shows in Columbia, Missouri. After relocating to New York City in the 2006, Thor became apart of the 9 to 5 working world and shelved his desires to perform. As the days rolled on and the years passed, The Assembly Line was brought back to the existence.
In May 2008, Thor connected with producer Mark Troth Lewis (The Sugar Report, Flyleaf, White Light Motorcade) to complete a dream - create a record. The finished product became the 'Explodes Like Fireworks' EP. The 6 song release was a mix of acoustic, pop, rock, emo and indie that invited the listeners to connect and relate to their own lives. AbsolutePunk.net reviewed the EP a 92/100, putting it into a list of the year's best music. The Assembly Line's debut was distributed for free online to anyone and everyone that asked [Read more]

In 6 months time the band was able to deliver 1000 copies around the world through the web, encouraging recipients to share with friends.
With inspired confidence Thor set out to continue to create the music that meant the world to him. As December 2008 came along, he reunited with producer Mark Troth Lewis to record a debut full length album. Boasting intricate simplicity and larger than life sounds, the 14 track LP 'Graves Like Oceans' became a reality. Employing lyrics that reflect personal experience, The Assembly Line showcases heart-on-sleeve honesty blended with memorable sweeping melodies.
Thornfin Nguyen on writing for The Assembly Line: "My dad gave me some great advice about writing. Always write about what you know and what means something to you. It makes it honest. It's pure. People will always be able to tell the difference."
The Assembly Line looks to release the LP 'Graves Like Oceans' February 2009.
