Black Taxi
BLACK TAXI is one of NYC's most prominent live acts, smashing an anything-goes punk ethos together with pop sensibilities, unparalleled energy, and brilliant songwriting. The result is a raucous stage show, heavy on harmonies, spitfire guitar licks, body paint, and all manner of instrumentation. Their style has been described varyingly as "grit-pop" or "dance punk", and though their songs hint at the Talking Heads, Cake, and Daft Punk, they are driven by something entirely new and infectious. BLACK TAXI songs can be heard on radio stations from Maine to California, accompany hit TV shows, provide the soundtrack for film, and hit the airwaves on commercial airlines. Their music video "Shoeshine" has found a success of it's own as an Official Nominee for the Webby Awards, and their most recent video "Hand" premiered on AOL Music and Spinner.
BLACK TAXI's first full-length offering Things of that Nature received strong reviews in publications throughout the country. For their second full-length album they returned to The Bunker Studio to record with Aaron Nevezie, who has worked with Grammy nominated acts like The Black Keys and Danger Mous [Read more]

The Click Clack Boom
The Click Clack Boom is a Brooklyn based band, doing it themselves on the independent grind.

The Wicked Tomorrow
Formed out of Brooklyn's ever abundant music scene in the spring of 2010 by kindred musical counterparts, Ian Jacobs (guitar/vocals) and Michelle Feliciano (drums/vocals), The Wicked Tomorrow have quickly garnered attention for their visceral, raw and melodic sound citing comparisons to Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Black Keys and The Velvet Underground from press and fans alike. In about a year's time, The Wicked Tomorrow have performed at SXSW, CMJ, The L Magazine's Northside Music Festival and have toured the US extensively supporting acts such as Mike Watt and the Missingmen, Francis and the Lights, The Gay Blades, Japanther, Company Of Thieves and The Dig.
The duo's male/female vocal interplay and harmonies soar above Jacobs' multi-octave guitar assault and Feliciano's methodical drum rhythms. The bands sound is captured with a loose, lively and jagged precision on the band's debut EP. Produced by Ben Rice (The Mooney Suzuki, Blackbells), the EP has spawned two singles and music videos for the tracks "Frenemy" and "Just Break" leading to press and praise from AM New York, CMJ, The Deli Magazine, Time Out and Verbicide Magazine as well as a slew of music blogs. The Courtesy Tier
The Courtesy Tier is always a surprise, sometimes even to themselves. Omer (guitar) and Layton (drums) have been playing together for the last seven years, but they weren't always a duo. As members came and went, they perpetually conceptualized themselves as a four and sometimes six piece band. Then, during their second winter in New York, the boys had run out of other band members. Regrouping in a closet size practice space under the Smith Street overpass, they finally had enough room to rehearse, and they liked the sound. By the following summer they were ready to record, but a New York budget requires some fanagaling. With three mic's in a seven by seven room and help from their friend Chris Gachot "Map and a Marker" was born.
The Courtesy Tier is a two man cadre. Whether invoking Wilco, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, or The Black Keys they synthesize the soul of rock with melodic blues. While a forerunner of the DIY movement in Brooklyn, they aren't your usual Brooklyn sound. The album name exemplifies their process: go with what you've got and you'll find your way there.
