Aeroplane Pageant
Add To My Artists

Brian Kelly leads a collective of childhood friends and artistic visionaries in an ongoing mission; capture a bit of the ethereal - in sound, image and story.

Joined live by projectionist Nisi Jacobs, the band paints story in both sonic and visual medium. Kelly's lyrics are unique renderings of a life lived with all senses flooded, while Jacobs' provides her magical take on how that life may look through refined eyes and public domain video mixology.

The band is blessed with a unique perspective, practiced melodic sensibility, and honed synergy to deliver art reminding listeners to slow down and enjoy life's scenery.

Aeroplane Pageant is Brian Kelly (vocals/guitar), Timothy Watson (bass/vocals), Michael Areephituk (lead guitar), Christopher Aguis (guitar/electronics/percussion), Erik DeAngelis (drums), Nisi Jacobs (video projections).

Gross Relations
Add To My Artists

Gross Relations is a Brooklyn-based foursome who play lo-fi pop songs that are highly catchy and short on saccharine. With plenty of fuzz and lackadaisically-delivered lyrics reeled in by insistent, irresistible riffs, GR have a certain swagger that's earning them frequent gigs and adulation. You'll find moody rockers with as many upbeat notes as pent-up emotions followed by anthems for the romantically resigned, despondent dude in all of us. Through all the subtleties and polish of their tracks, they never lose the sound of intoxicated friends trying to find their space-time continuum. Think Beat Happening meets Brooklyn meets bad ass bros. Look out for more Relations buzz-it's infectious.

"Sometimes it's fun to listen to songs that sound like your speakers just crapped out on you. That's rock 'n roll, bro!" - Oh My Rockness

"On ['You Don't Know Me'] they really shine with those seasick keys charging in full bore and a nice touch of fuzz on the vox...the hook sticks in your head like a whiskey-coated knife." - Raven Sings the Blues

Plates of Cake
Add To My Artists

Plates of Cake is a Brooklyn based band led by songwriter/guitarist Jonathan Byerley. Having already released two outstanding albums of hazy folk songs under his own name, Byerley decided it was time to call in some old friends and cohorts from his home state of Colorado and strike up the band. With an emphasis on lyrical structure and clever melodies, Plates of Cake play a kind of surrealistic pop music favored by luminaries such as The Kinks and Guided By Voices. The songs that make up their self-titled LP run the gamut from hook-laden rockers to cool country charmers, all delivered like a band that's been playing together for years.
