Il abanico is a native Colombian duo, formed in 2010 by Juliana Ronderos (vocals) and Nicolás Losada (guitar). With extremely different tastes in music and similar personalities, they started writing songs and experimenting with new sounds and compositions.
Il abanico performs with a full band that includes members from places as diverse as Peru, Japan and Argentina. In December 2010 they recorded their EP Crossing Colors at Studio G in Brooklyn NY. They now perform around the Boston area and have played in venues such as The Paradise and the House of Blues.
Rapidly growing on a greater audience, Il abanico brings a fresh proposal of music influenced by alternative, experimental, and pop music. Their music has been described as "a weaving tapestry of textures and sounds"

Y/Y is a Brooklyn-based band consisting of Jason Meeks and Conrad Burnham. The two began writing songs in the spring of 2010. They take an experimental approach to pop music, with an emphasis on driving percussion. Mixing electronics with guitar and drums, the two create a dense sonic atmosphere. They create their own visuals with either manipulated found video or recording and tweaking their own images. Y/Y released their first full-length record, "Peel and Shudder" on December 6, 2011. The album is available for purchase through Bandcamp, iTunes and Amazon.
