AIDS Wolf
AIDS Wolf embrace the hate. If they can't draw you in, they will make you run away cursing and bitching. Their songs speak to the terminally alienated, the relentlessly negative, the inherently repugnant. The Montréal trio (two guitars, drums and insane warbling) formed in early 2003, to the protestations of most of humanity. Since the beginning, they've sought to live the life: to practice complete aesthetic immersion, create music in some form every day, and live healthfully to facilitate their creative endeavors, no vacations allowed. AW greets our modern gloom with heady zeal. They are the only three angry people to ever come out of Canada.

Ty Segall
Burying '60s sing-alongs and dance crazes beneath waves of reverb and giddy thud, Ty Segall has carved out his own shelf in the neo-psych garage alongside SF compatriots and collaborators Sic Alps and Thee Oh Sees. As an exploration of the space between Cro-Magnon fuzz and atmospheric acoustic psych, Ty Segall continues to crank out the best new garage rock from San Francisco.
Ty Segall is the lead singer of Epsilons, the drummer for Traditional fools, the drummer every once in a while for Party Fowl, and as of February 2009, an occasional guitarist/drummer for Sic Alps.

Pujol
Daniel Pujol grew up in Tullahoma, TN then he moved to Nashville and wrote a bunch of songs about life and theology and his sister and other things.

Circle Pit
Okay, this band is great and they look cool. Don't they look cool? They've got the 90s slacker sound down and they also sound like drugs. Right up my alley. I get a contact high just listening to the record.
I saw Circle Pit in October but it was a night show during CMJ, so I basically remember none of it since I was so wasted. What a shame. I hope they come back soon.
Way to go, Australia. I usually don't like any of your bands.

Screens
There are 2 outfits operating under the name 'SCREENS"
1) Eldritch weird wavers, Screens, seeped into existence in early 2009, after Washington, D.C. defectors, drummer Andrew Becker (Dischord Records', Medications) and vocalist Breck Brunson (psych-sludge purveyors, The Apes) hooked up with keyboardist, Daniel Roland Tierney (San Francisco aggressors, The Mall) and guitarist, Luke Kozikowski in New York City. After bonding over their mutual affection for Harry Partch, Harry Nilsson and Harry Pussy, the quartet began congregating in a Lavvu above a Sami fish market, perfecting a sound that simultaneously sounded like a soothing Congolese dust storm and a toddler exploding in the night. Following countless frenzied shows in the moistest of east coast squats, Screens decamped to the rock and roll mecca of Hockessin, Delaware with reclusive and DMT diluted super-producer, L. Skell (remarkably overweight genius behind 2007's unheralded classic "Eldridge Skell's The Rude Staircase - Sookie Jump") and engineer, Nick Krill (The Spinto Band), to craft a spirited mess of unbridled dystopia slathered in a rich, pasty, psychedelic batter. "Dead House", Screens' first full-length, will be released on May 17, 2011 on Becker's label, What Delicate Recordings.
2) Hailing from Brisbane - SCREENS combine progressive post-rock soundscapes with an innovative multimedia experience, incorporating projected film sequences and live music into a unique, integrated performance piece. Since their formation in late 2010, screens have performed alongside stellar Brisbane acts including [ Mr Maps ] ~ [ Nikko ] and [ Hazards of Swimming Naked ] to strong support and glowing reviews.
More recently they have released a split EP with Brisbane experimental band [ Big Dead ], Screens are currently immersed in work on a 3-act narrative piece - working title: "Black Nights, Grey Days" - taking inspiration from noir and neo-noir cinema, workshopping a unique and interactive audio/visual performance to be debuted in 2012, along with a polished LP release and tour.
