Last night we were at the Abrons Art Center in the Lower East Side for an awesome show featuring Woods and MV & EE, both accompanied by live, improvised visuals from the Joshua Light Show.

It was a unique, awesome concert. MV & EE delivered an excellent set, dedicating their tune "Easy Livin'" to Jack Rose. Woods pulled out songs from their new album, At Echo Lake, which came out this past Tuesday, as well as tunes from last year's Songs of Shame. They also wailed on some lengthy jams. The Joshua Light Show was terrific throughout, providing wonderful psychedelic visuals for each tune.

This was the second of four shows featuring the Joshua Light Show at Abrons Arts Center. Tonight is Silver Apples and Oneida, and Saturday Spectrum and Dean & Britta will play.

Back in the late '60s, the Joshua Light Show had a residency at the Fillmore East, performing behind groups like the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and The Who.

Woods plays with Real Estate, The Fresh & Onlys, Sic Alps and Moon Duo on June 25 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.
