WFMU Fest at Music Hall of Williamsburg this weekend

WFMU Fest 2009

We're very excited for the stellar lineup at this year's WFMU Fest, which takes places this weekend, October 1, 2 and 3, at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.

Things kick off on Thursday with legendary krautrockers Faust, recent Matador signees Cold Cave and French dark psych weirdos Aluk Todolo. Faust has been bringing weird and wonderful noises into the world since the early '70s and Cold Cave has been making a big splash since releasing their debut LP, Love Comes Close, on Heartworm Press.

On Friday you can see Pennsylvania punks Pissed Jeans, as well as TV Ghost, Vee Dee and Guinea Worms.

And Saturday Teenage Jesus & The Jerks, the acclaimed late-seventies No Wave group, return to the stage after reuniting last year for a few dates with Thurston Moore on guitar. Joining them will be NYC noise acts Sightings, Drunkdriver and Talk Normal.

So, take your pick or check out all three shows. They should all be a blast and it's always good to celebrate one of the country's best radio stations. Tickets are available on the MHOW website.
