This past Friday and Saturday The Joy Formidable opened for Passion Pit at sold-out shows at Terminal 5. Tonight and tomorrow, though, you'll have the chance to see the Wales-via-London trio in two much more intimate spaces. This evening they'll be in Brooklyn to play at Union Hall with The Jaguar Club and Ravens & Chimes. Tomorrow they'll hit the Lower East Side to rock Pianos along with Morning Fuzz and Locksley.
The band has been getting lots of buzz over the past couple of years, especially from UK publications like The Guardian and NME, and it's easy to see why. They play catchy, energetic and often anthemic rock music and they play it well. We imagine the next time the band rolls through NYC they will be moving on to bigger clubs, so don't miss this opportunity to see them rock rooms that are on the smaller side.
