On the final day of South By Southwest, the weather gods played a mean trick on all of the music types that had congregated in Austin. The sky was overcast and the temperature dipped into the 30s. It didn't help, of course, that things were sunny and in the 70s back in New York.
It was a small price to pay, we guess, and we kept ourselves warm with some brews and a bunch of music.
One of the bands that warmed us up the most was Brooklyn duo Talk Normal. They laid down a set of noisy, no-wavy goodness at the Spider House Cafe.

Talk Normal is on a U.S. tour with Xiu Xiu and Tuneyards right now, and then they'll head to Europe in April, but they'll be back in New York on May 15 for a show at the Knitting Factory with Parts & Labor and Guts For Garters.
