The last time we caught Shark? was during the first heavy snow of the winter when they played at Matchless back in December. They've been playing fairly often, though, so maybe you've caught them since. If not, you'll have a few chances to change that in the coming weeks, and we recommend it.
Shark? play gritty pop that pulls from the most primal of places, sort of like The Monks, Chuck Berry or Beat Happening, who they covered on the Earfarm.com (no relation to Eardrum) holiday compilation Do You EAR What I EAR.
Tonight Shark? is at Pianos with Total Slacker, Blair and Gunfight.
Friday (February 19) they play Fort Useless with The Whisperians and The Golden Kittens. February 25 they play Hype Machine's CD Swap at Housing Works with The Morning Benders and Cuddle Magic. March 4 they are at Glasslands with Gunfight, Quiet Loudly and Scary Living. And March 6 they are at Shea Stadium with Cloud Nothings and Byrds of Paradise.
