Saturday night The Howling Hex, the trio lead by Neil Michael Hagerty, formerly of Royal Trux, Pussy Galore and Weird War, played two terrific sets at the Cake Shop.

Before and in between those sets, comedian Ben Kronberg got the crowd riled up and, seemingly for some in attendance, confused and angry. We found him pretty funny. The Howling Hex seemed to gather steam and energy as the night progressed, closing out with a stream of jams that had the entire room grooving hard if not actually dancing.
