Video: Inlets playing "Roots on Sidewalks" and "You Are An Effigy" in the middle of a lake - See a solo set tonight at Glasslands

Inlets

If you haven't heard Sebastian Krueger (a.k.a. Inlets), you should. He's got a wonderful voice, he writes beautiful songs, and he's played with some names you'll likely recognize. He's a member of My Brightest Diamond, played on DM Stith's Heavy Ghost and backed Feist on SNL a couple of years back.

And, in addition to his contributions to such notable artists, people like the Dirty Projectors' Angel Deradoorian and Beirut's Zach Condon have helped Krueger flesh out his own songs on various occasions. After the break, you can watch two videos from La Blogotheque in which Sebastian and a small gaggle of ladies, including Ms. Deradoorian, croon from a rock in the middle of the lake.

Tonight Krueger will play a solo set at Glasslands as part of "Party In the Sky: A Benefit for Gillian Blair Scanlon & Safe Horizon." Safe Horizon aids victims of domestic violence, as well as their families and communities. Also on the bill are Outernational, Lagoon, No Place, Chris Stelling and Controlled Storms.

If for some reason you can't make it to this sweet show, Inlets will open for Vetiver at The Bell House on January 21.

You can listen to another Inlets track, "Your Good Arm," which features Zach Condon on brass, over on Stereogum, and you can check out more songs on Myspace.
