Last week NYC's MiniBoone released their debut EP, Big Changes, on Drug Front Records, and tonight the band will celebrate with a show at Glasslands. They'll be joined by Pet Ghost Project, I'm Turning Into and Shark?.

Energetic, catchy rock is the simplest way to describe MiniBoone, but the quintet has more facets to unearth in their music. They're especially good at quickly shifting dynamics while stlll maintaining cohesive melodies and momentum. It's fun and fairly straightforward but highly enjoyable and far from that vast wasteland of bland pop rock.

While the band's new EP is good, seeing MiniBoone live is necessary to fully appreciate the energy that jumps from there tunes. Don't miss tonight's show.
